Judieth Ann Fairchild, 80, died on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2026, at Azria Health Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley. Judy was born on Oct. 7, 1946, outside of Little Sioux, to Morris and Alice (Bradley) Hall. She grew up around the Pisgah area, attending school in Pisgah. Judy began her working career at Wilkinson’s. On March 21, 1964, Judy married William Fairchild and they made their home outside of Mondamin. After getting married and starting a family, she then devoted her time to being a homemaker, raising her children, and caring for her family. Later, Judy returned to Wilkinson’s, where she continued her working career.
Judy found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially her love of flowers and gardening. She enjoyed canning and crocheting, and loved watching the hummingbirds that visited her yard. Whether she was working in her garden, creating something with her hands, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature, these moments brought her happiness.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; son, Terry Fairchild; son-in-law, Daryl Tupper; brother, Butch Hall; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Hall. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William Fairchild; children, Becky Tupper of Logan, James Fairchild (Shannon Pitt) of Pisgah, Levi (Danielle) Hall of Glenwood, and Tony (Mandy) Fairchild of Missouri Valley; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Jerry Hall of Pisgah, Rex (Pauline) Hall of Madrid, Linda (Larry) Millard of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Mary Hall of Mapleton; and many other relatives and friends.
