Dunlap clinic provider to meet residents Nov. 5

Physician assistant Jane Gambs will meet with residents and answer questions about services at the CHI Dunlap Clinic during a gathering Thursday, Nov. 5. The event, called “Grounds for Good Health,” will run from 8 to 10 a.m. at Common Grounds, 611 Iowa Ave. in Dunlap.

The gathering is open to everyone, including people who are not CHI patients. Attendees can stop in anytime during the two hours, and CHI will pay for beverages ordered during the event.

Amanda Lary, CHI clinic administrator, said the gathering is intended to introduce residents to a local health care provider before they schedule an appointment. Meeting outside the clinic can help people who feel anxious in a medical setting, she said.

“Moving a meet and greet outside of the traditional office setting can help alleviate anxiety and allow for a casual conversation,” Lary said.
